Our history
J.U.M.P. is a non-profit
program that above all
seeks to foster and pro-
vide love and quality
support to the youth
and families we serve.
We operate under the
philosophy that young
people’s growth is a
function of relationships
built and maintained
with adults and peers
within the community. Through strong
relationships, youth experience
security, acceptance, independence and sup-
port required for growth, change, ap-
propriate development needed to
succeed and improve their outcomes.
Our mission
Through our intervention and presence within
the community we hope to reduce crime and
violence, as well as increase employment
opportunities for our young people.
In order to accomplish this goal, we rely on a
strategic model that includes:
Using practical and realistic approaches;
Tolerating youth failures and using those
failures as opportunities for learning;
Developing self-esteem and confidence
through nurturing relationships; and
Teaching decision-making skills and
supporting the power of choice.
By empowering young people to make choices
in their lives, we are allowing them to create a
vision for their future. With a healthy vision, de-
termination ensues and will lead to better
decision making in order to pursue and achieve the
future they desire.
